Shameless: The 10 Best Things That Happened To Fiona | ScreenRant

As the true heart of Shamelessit has been immensely hard watching the show without Fiona there. She really carries the storylines as a member of the cast in previous seasons, which displays just how important she is. Although she has a plethora of flaws, she definitely is a very caring individual when it comes to her family members. She makes an abundance of sacrifices to provide for them, while also finding ways to grow herself throughout the series.

Even when she makes her massive mistakes, it is easy for fans to still cheer for her because of how hard she works to improve. That is what makes her having good moments so amazing in the series, as it seems as though she finally is getting good karma for all the bad she experiences.

10 She Meets And Dates Jimmy

Fiona meeting Jimmy is one of the best moments from the series. This is due to the fact that the two not only have a strong connection, but Jimmy also helps a lot with the rest of the family.

This is the first time Fiona truly opens up to love, and she is very happy in the process. It is apparent that Jimmy is a huge influence on her too. Although the relationship ends up becoming toxic because of Jimmy’s life in crime, it is still a huge part of her development.

9 She Calls Out Monica

When Monica returns to the Gallagher home, she tries to take Liam away. This is truly despicable, as Monica is not there for any of her children. As a result of this, Fiona blows up on Monica and calls her out for being an atrocious mother.

This is such a satisfying scene, as although it is sad, it also allows Fiona to gain back power in this situation. Fiona finally calling out Monica for this is important for her, as it is a way of her finally getting closure.

8 She Gains Custody Of Her Siblings

When Frank calls DFS on Fiona, a trial for gaining custody ends up occurring. It is truly a sickening move by Frank, as he aims to get them put in foster homes out of pure spite.

Although the battle seems to be almost impossible for Fiona to succeed, she does end up gaining custody in the end. This is a wonderful moment for her, as she successfully is able to still take care of the kids. She clearly is the right choice out of the two.

7 She Becomes An Aunt

For the record, Fiona is originally against Debbie having a baby at such a young age. She even says that she is not going to be involved at all, as she does not approve of this decision.

Yet, even with all of this being said, it is clear that she does love her niece Franny. She is seen spending more and more time with her as the series progresses too. Thus, it turns into a happy moment for her in time.

6 She Lets Go Of Jimmy

When Jimmy returns after a few years, Fiona is understandably livid. Jimmy of course initially disappeared due to this life of crime. However, the two do eventually hook up again, which is bad because Fiona is married to Gus at the time.

Although she makes this big mistake, she quickly cuts ties with Jimmy and begs him to leave her alone. It is clear that her love for him is still present, but she needs to move on from him, as his instability is too much for her.

5 She Doesn’t Marry Sean

Fiona is set to marry Sean and the family is all there for her big day. However, Frank shows up uninvited and drops a massive bombshell that ruins everything. He tells everyone that Sean is no longer sober and provides proof.

Fiona is understandably heartbroken by this discovery, as her dad sabotages her wedding and Sean lies to her. This results in her calling things off. Although she is very sad by all of this, it turns out to easily be the best decision for her.

4 She Confronts Yelp Reviewer

After a Yelp reviewer harshly reviews her laundromat, Fiona seeks her out to confront her about it. It is a very satisfying scene, as Fiona lets out all of her understandable frustration, as this post impacts her financially.

It is apparent that Fiona feels a lot better after doing this. She even takes her boyfriend’s cheeseburger and stains her shirt with it. Although this may be classified as a step too far, it is easy to see why Fiona is so angry by what occurs and the move is right in line with who Fiona is.

3 She Gets Revenge On Ford

When Fiona finds out that Ford is actually married, it wrecks their relationship and sends Fiona down a rough path. This leads to her being heartbroken to an entirely new level, and the audience sees her biggest downfall of the entire series.

Thankfully though, she is able to get revenge on him with Debbie’s help. Debbie manages to get him trapped and from there, Fiona starts hitting him with paintballs. It is a funny scene, but also nice seeing Fiona feel better.

2 She Seeks Help

Fiona’s battle with alcoholism gets quite out of control in her final season. This starts with the situation with Ford, but also her failing in her professional life and other aspects. Yet, after reaching rock bottom, she finally seeks help.

This is such an important moment for her, as it is apparent that things become far too difficult for her to handle on her own. It also shows that she has the desire to turn things around and take Lip’s advice, which sets up her final storyline and departure in a positive way.

1 She Moves Away

Fiona moving away was hard for fans, as her character is gone for good. Yet, even with this being so, it is important for her, as it finally allows her to start a life of her own. She no longer has to take care of her siblings, and she ventures onto her own path.

It is a nice way to complete her storyline, even if her presence is missed on the show today. However, she does leave very happy, so it certainly warrants a spot here.
